FAQ
Q: Is CranioSacral Therapy Effective For Any Age?
CranioSacral Therapy is effective at any age, from newborns to elders. Each person is cared for as a unique human being , and every session is individually tailored to the client’s needs. You can read more about CranioSacral Therapy here.

Q: How Long Is A Treatment Session?
A session is 70 minutes long. This includes a full hour session,& consultation/administrative time.

Q: What Can I Expect From A Session?
A typical session takes place in a quiet, private setting. You remain fully clothed as you relax on a comfortable table. Ula Katsoulis begins by gently touching various parts of your body to monitor the rhythm of the fluid that is flowing around your central nervous system.
By carefully listening with the hands to locate areas of weak fluid flow or tissue motion, she can trace those areas of weakness through the body to the original source of dysfunction. Gentle manual techniques are then used to release those problem areas and improve the form and function of your central nervous system.

Q: Do I Need To Come Early To My First Appointment?
Yes, please come 10 minutes early prior to your appointment to complete an intake form or you can download the intake form on this website prior to the appointment.

Q: Do I Undress for The Session?
Yes and No. For a CranioSacral Therapy (CST) session, the client is fully clothed. Sometimes, when utilizing Visceral Manipulation (VM) techniques, clients are asked to remove their tops or bottoms to allow greater access to and more anatomical precision for the work to be done. In case of a combined CST and VM treatment, the client will be instructed as to when to remove an article of clothing, and when to put it back on.

Q: What Can I Expect From A Treatment?
You can expect to be in a comfortable, professional office. Gentle, non-invasive techniques of both CST and VM will be used to detect and treat dysfunction and restrictions in the body. The treatments can be deeply relaxing as the body self-corrects. You may also experience sensations such as heat, tissues shifting/moving, mental imagery, emotional release/insights; this is the body releasing the dysfunction and reorganizing itself, and is the natural, healing process at work.

Q: What is the Length of Time between Treatments?
Treatments are normally spaced two to four weeks apart, occasionally longer. Change always occurs between treatments. This gives the body time to balance and reorganize itself between treatments.

Q: How Many Treatments Do I Need?
In general, the client’s overall health is a determining factor in the amount of sessions that they need. Clients with chronic conditions require treatment for longer periods than those with acute conditions.
